The Girard Public Library is housed in a Carnegie building built in 1906. The library is a full service library and offers more than 25,000 volumes and over 80 magazine subscriptions. Resources include reference and research materials, popular adult and juvenile fiction, paperbacks, newspapers, inter-library loan service, and senior rotation books. Public access computers are available for Internet access and word processing.
The newly remodeled basement houses the children's area and an extensive Crawford county history & genealogy collection which includes microfilm sources.
